Village Saloon: A Hidden Gem for American Cuisine in Sparta, NJ

Very nice experience. Deluxe burger, made to order with all the fixings! Our server, Kim, a delight! Super friendly, very prompt and efficient! I would highly recommend and I will be back.

We came here after the Sussex Fair. The food was delicious! We ordered a medium well cheeseburger deluxe, grilled chicken sandwich, and a kids cheeseburger. All plates came out with pickles and small macaroni salad. We split the cheeseburger deluxe and chicken sandwich which tasted farm fresh. The waters tasted good, it wasnt tap water. Its just a little dark in there but by the entrance theres more lighting. The waitress were nice and kind and the pricing for all 3 meals was $30-$40 with tip. We will stop by again next time we are in the area. (My photo was basic, but the food was not )

Great food! Cozy atmosphere in a country western style. They have daily specials which are always good.

You'd never know from the outside but this restaurant with bar has character and charm! Oh and really good food with excellent service, fun staff, good live music and friendly customers. Excellent portions, great specials and fair prices. I'll definitely be back. Cheers!

I've heard the term "out of body experience" before but could never truly say I've had one until I sank my teeth into a cheboygah (cheese burger for the layman's) at Village Saloon. Paired with fresh cut fries (fresh cuts for the hip) this cheboygah will change everything you ever thought was possible in culinary art. Their chilli is a meaty dense dark texture that warms the coldest souls from the darkest corners of the earth. My wife ventured into the land of poultry there by ordering a fried chicken special. All she lent me was half a wing in fear that she would run out of chicken too fast. Our server, I never got her name as she was also bartending / changing the lives of men and women who were experiencing the saloon, was nothing short of a messenger of God. Bringing food and drinks promptly and kindly and ensuring we did not faint out of pure bliss during our dining experience. All humans must enter this establishment and order a cheboygah. This is the only way to have the best in the universe. It will ruin all other boygahs for you at every place you ever get one. The fact that it comes with fresh cuts fried to superior excellence elevates your situation beyond your wildest dreams. Life begins anew when you leave here. There is nothing else but days of longing for the next time you get to go to Village Saloon.

Stopped by Saturday night for takeout. The bartender was super nice and courteous, and the food was excellent. I had the special: Chicken Cordon Bleu. It was delicious and the chef is incredibly talented. Please put this on your regular menu!

This place was awesome. Got the Reuben and a cheeseburger. Burger was juicy as hell and the Reuben was delicious. The atmosphere was rustic with an awesome cowboy zombie that's greats you when you walk in. Honestly can't wait to go back again and try their specials.

Staff is very friendly! Food is great, and reasonably priced. Live music on Wednesdays. MUCH better atmosphere now that the cackling hags and their posse are gone
